Good News for Those Trying Harder by Alan Kraft – Room 2
Facilitated by Ralph and Meg Radix; cost is $12.00.
The following is from the introduction. “The prevailing spiritual wisdom of the day seems to assert that movement results in health. As long as you stay busy with spiritual activities, your spiritual strength will grow. As long as you work hard to please God, you will mature. It sounds reasonable enough. However, what many Christians are discovering is that spiritual jiggling doesn’t seem to accomplish the objective of spiritual lives.” This class will be for spiritual seekers who long to discover the nature of authentic spirituality.

Essential Truths of the Christian Faith by R.C. Sproul – Room 101
Facilitated by Jack Anderson, Dave Layden, and Craig Allan; cost is $9.00.
The following are several excerpts from the preface of this book.
“Every Christian is a theologian. We are always engaged in the activity of learning about the things of God. No Christian can avoid theology. Every Christian has a theology. The issue, then is not do we want to have a theology? That’s a given. The real issue is, do we have a sound theology?” “This book is a layperson’s introduction to the essential doctrines of Christianity.” “ The purpose of this book is to introduce the reader to the key concepts that together make up the Biblical message.”
Making Peace Seminar: Growing Redemptive Community in Our Church, a video series by Jim Van Yperen – Room 102
Facilitated by Pastor Tim Pietrogallo; cost is $8.00.
Based upon Jim Van Yperen’s best-selling book, Making Peace, the Making Peace Seminar will help you identify and understand the habitual conflict responses that are creating barriers to reconciliation in your life and in the church. Participants will be challenged to “change our mind,” to learn and practice new ways of thinking and acting under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. You will explore how embracing spiritual brokenness can enhance your ability to gently confront, humbly confess, and graciously forgive as you seek to be reconciled to God and others.
When Sinners Say I Do by Dave Harley – Room 103 (Choir Room)
Facilitated by Dale and Ellen Wright; cost is $12.00.
This is a class for married couples of any age (or couples planning to marry). The following is from the introduction (written by Paul David Tripp).
“This book reminded me once again of some very important things. It reminded me that I am my biggest marital problem. It reminded me in ways that are very practical, that Jesus is the only solution. It doesn’t matter whether you are looking forward to your marriage or have been married for many years—your relationship isn’t perfect. And because it isn’t, as a couple you need to look into the mirror of God’s Word once again. This book will help you do just that.”
