The AWANA program is a non-denominational program, which stresses salvation through personal faith in Jesus Christ alone.  AWANA is derived from the first letters of Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15.

Awana club meets on Wednesday evenings during the school year from September to May.  The evening program begins with opening ceremonies, followed by a game time, which emphasizes both cooperative and competitive activities.  The remainder of the evening is spent divided into small groups to work in the AWANA handbooks. Memorization of the Word of God is highlighted during this time. Weekly attendance is approximately 120 children.

At SPEFC, we offer clubs for three separate age groups as described below.  Girls and boys are combined in each of the Cubbies and Sparks clubs, but there are separate groups for girls and boys in Truth & Training Club.
